As we begin 2026, many of us are setting goals to improve our health and daily habits, don’t forget to focus on a healthy smile as well.
Here are some helpful tips to maintain a healthy smile all year long:
  • Brushing twice a day, every day. Sounds simple, but consistency is the key to preventing cavities.
  • Don’t skip flossing, this removes plaque and bacteria your toothbrush simply can’t reach. Adding this 3-4 times a week is a great start to building the habit.
  • Don’t forget to refresh your toothbrush. Start each new year with a new toothbrush or brush head if you use an electric brush. This should be replaced every 3 months or sooner if the bristles are frayed.
  • And lastly, schedule your checkup and cleaning. Get ahead of your calendar by booking, preventative visits help catch small issues before they become big problems.
